The best Mediterranean restaurants on the French Riviera

TJBy the Timenjoy newsroom · Updated October 2026

Mediterranean cooking is everywhere on the Riviera, and that is exactly the problem: the word is often used as a label with no commitment behind it. The genuinely good tables show it through seasonal produce and a menu that actually changes.

Four addresses from Antibes to Menton, taking in the Carré d'Or in Nice and the Old Town. Different registers, same seriousness about the produce.

The selection

La Table
1

La Table

A new address in Old Antibes with what you want from the format: Mediterranean cooking, seasonal produce and properly crisp wood-fired pizza. The room is polished without feeling staged.

L’Épicerie Servella
2

L’Épicerie Servella

Ravioli, panisse and family know-how in the middle of the Carré d'Or, a district that badly needed this kind of address. Southern recipes, homemade dishes and small treasures to take away.

La DifférAnce
3

La DifférAnce

Between Monaco and Menton, with the extra Riviera touch everyone pretends to keep secret. A terrace facing the sea, generous plates and cold glasses. The view does half the work, the kitchen handles the rest.

Le Maquis
4

Le Maquis

Hard to talk about the Mediterranean without going through Corsica. In the Old Town, island charcuterie, characterful cheeses and plates that genuinely overflow. Built for big tables, not for a quiet dinner for two.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a Mediterranean table on the Riviera?
Produce-led cooking built around olive oil, seasonal vegetables and fish, rather than a fixed repertoire. La Table, L'Épicerie Servella, La Différance and Le Maquis share that logic in very different styles.
How far ahead should you book?
A few days is enough off-season. From June to September, allow a week for a weekend evening, and more for the most sought-after tables.
How is this selection made?
Every place on this list has been visited by the newsroom before it made the cut. We do not republish directories and we do not sell places in the ranking. The list is reviewed at every site update, and a place that closes or slips is taken out.
